Why Visit Mamanuca Islands? A First-Timer's Guide

Mamanuca Islands Travel Guide →

The Mamanuca Islands are what most people picture when they imagine a South Pacific escape — a scattered chain of small volcanic islands just off Fiji's main island, ringed by coral reef and water in a shade of turquoise that barely looks real. Several islands here were the filming location for Cast Away, and it's easy to see why: there's a real sense of arriving somewhere genuinely remote, even though it's only a short boat ride from the mainland. Whether you want a backpacker dorm with a beachfront bar or an overwater bungalow with total privacy, the Mamanucas have a version of it.
